                                                            System 3

wpeD.jpg (4022 bytes)System 3™ Introduced in the late 1960s, System 3™ is the most successful system ever from Siemens - Fire Safety. At the time it revolutionized the concept of modular design, which enabled each system to be specifically designed and customized to meet the customers application needs. System 3™ continues to endure as one of the most popular systems, due to its inherent simplicity and reliability.

When a fire protection system consists of a number of individual control panels - either in a single large facility or in many buildings spread over campus or complex - it is often desirable to monitor, maintain or control those panels from a single, central location.

As a member of the InteLINK family of products and services, the Siemens - Fire Safety CXL command center provides a reliable, user-friendly, cost-effective means of monitoring alarm and trouble, as well as other information from up to 28 individual MXL or XL fire protection control panels. In addition, it allows keyboard control of each panel, enabling the operator to acknowledge events, silence audible signals, reset the systems, disable devices, activate relays, change detector sensitivity settings, generate maintenance reports and perform many other functions, from within the facility, across the street, across the campus, across the city or around the world.

The CXL consists of a color video display terminal - with keyboard, a printer, and a set of integral modems used to communicate with plug-in modems located in the MXL and XL3 control panels. Communication can occur over a single pair of wires, such as dedicated phone lines. It can also occur using data grade lines, or even fiber optics, with distances being virtually unlimited. For the highest level of fault tolerance, redundant (Style 7) communication paths are available.

MXL/LifeLINK NETWORK

wpeF.jpg (6550 bytes)MXL/LifeLINK NETWORK: The most fault tolerant life safety system network bringing reliability and flexibility to even higher levels. In high risk or large facilities, LifeLINK provides the ultimate in redundancy, fault tolerance and wiring flexibility. Rather than being limited to to a master/slave architecture, LifeLINK is a peer-to-peer network that connects a number of systems together so that they act as a single system. Due to the ability of each panel to stand alone, larger capacity and greater reliability is possible. At the heart of the LifeLINK network are the MXL series panels: MXL-IQ, MXL, and MXLV. LifeLINK allows the interconnection of up to 64 units each with up to 64 nodes for system capacity of more than 4000 nodes and 200K plus intelligent devices. This enables MXL and LifeLINK to accommodate the needs of virtually any size facility.

SXL®

SXLG.JPG (6211 bytes)The SXL is the most basic member of the InteLINK family of fire alarm control systems. Incorporating innovative, high quality design, SXL will provide years of reliable fire protection in small buildings and structures. The SXL was developed to meet the varied fire detection needs of schools, municipal buildings, nursing homes, apartment buildings warehouses, small office buildings, department stores- virtually anywhere a cost efficient, general purpose fire control panel is required.

CP-2ERwpeE.jpg (3320 bytes)

CP-2ER: The Siemens - Fire Safety Control Model CP-2ER is a two-zone local control unit which meets the requirement of NFPA 72 or a two -zone releasing device panel approved in accordance with NFPA 72, 12A, 13, and 2001 for cross zone protection. When the CP-2ER control Panel is used as a releasing device, two Class A or Class B detection circuits are arranged so that both zones must be activated in order to discharge the agent automatically into the protected area.
